Description

The Carlo Gavazzi-type IA inductive proximity sensor is a non-contact sensor that can detect the presence of an object or material.It has standard output configurations including an NPN/PNP transistor with both NO (normally open) and NC (normally closed). 

The Carlo Gavazzi-type IA inductive proximity sensor also has the following features: 

  • M8 stainless steel housing

  • 2m PVC cable

Carlo Gavazzi’s inductive sensors are a reliable and cost-effective solution for machinery and automation equipment. The IA05, IA06, and IA08 series are available in short and long stainless steel housings to provide a high level of mechanical protection. 

Proximity switches are often used instead of direct-contact limit switches for the same purpose of detecting the position of a machine part. They have the advantage of never wearing out over time due to repeated physical contact.
